Scientific Module Instructor
Marc Sebban is Professor in Computer Science and of Head of the Computer Science, Cryptography and Image Processing Department of the laboratory Hubert Curien. His research focuses on machine learning (Metric Learning, Transfer Learning, Domain Adaptation, Theory of Boosting, Grammatical Inference, Sequence Mining, Feature and Prototype Selection) and computer vision (Perceptual Color Metric Learning, Feature Fusion, Subspace Alignment in Image Classification).
Marc Sebban manages the international Machine Learning and Data Mining master’s degree program. He is also involved in several research projects: ANR SOLSTICE (2014-2017) on design of new models and tools for representing and managing images and videos, ANR LIVES (2016-2020) on learning with Interacting ViEwS and the Joint ARC 6 project on New Theoretical Frameworks in Metric Learning: Application to Energy Management.
